Mini Capturer – Capture Images Displayed on Your Desktop
Founded back in 2001, Herculesoft is a company that specializes in the development of image and video utilities. As the company explained, the main focus is on coming up with powerful, high quality applications at an affordable price.
Out of all the software applications that Herculesoft has come up with, we will not put the spotlight on Mini Capture. There are bits you are going to like about his application, and bits that you will not. Let’s start on a positive note with the parts you will like.
What I like a lot is not having to for a long time for a download to complete. You will not have such a problem with Mini Capture. Since the download weighs in at less than 1MB, it should complete in no time at all, even on a less than spectacular internet connection.
Keeping with the speed theme we’ve got going on here, it should be said that Mini Capture will install in less time than it took to download the application. I counted some 5 clicks between launching the setup wizard and until the installation process was complete and the application was up and running.
Mini Capture is meant to be used on top of the Windows operating system (OS). As a matter of fact, the application will work just fine with pretty much all versions of the Microsoft-developed Windows operating system.
But what can Mini Capture do? As the name so adequately points out, it can capture images. It will capture the full screen, it will capture only the active window on the screen, it will capture a specific object on the screen, or it will capture a specific area of the screen. All captured screen are saved as BMP, JPG or GIF.
Now here comes the part you are not going to like: Mini Capture can be used free of charge only during the 15-day trial period. During this period you have to contend with an annoying nag screen
